Workshop for Pregnant and New Mothers: Bundled and Ready – Empowerment Workshop

Two (3-hour) seminars designed to help participants learn tools to empower themselves and their child, including an understanding of infant brain development. Topics include:

  • How belief systems are formed
  • How the human brain functions & new info about infant brain development.
  • Statistics and studies involving babies and adults around positive self esteem
  • Tools to increase self-esteem in the participants and their baby
  • Identify where and how personal changes can be implemented to enrich the participant’s life as well as the life of their child.

Healthy Babies Network

  • Support service to help professionals find nutrition related resources for clients
  • Must be agency referred
  • Prenatal vitamins & vitamin D drops for breastfed Infants
  • Pregnant women and families with children up to 12 months old
  • Counselling with a nutritionist and social worker

Children’s Milk Program

  • Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank Society
  •  Provides home delivery of fresh milk and formula to children and pregnant and nursing moms
  • Referred by a health-based organization

Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank Prenatal Hampers

  • Prenatal hampers for women accessing a participating prenatal service provider by referral only
  • Prenatal hampers are counted separately from regular hampers
