Distress Centre is a non-profit social agency that delivers support, counselling and resource referral services to Calgaryand the surrounding area.

The Distress Centre is available to talk anytime – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Crisis doesn’t take time off, so neither do they. When you make a call to Distress Centre, you will always get an answer, an open mind and a caring ear.

What We Do
The Mobile Response Team (MRT) is an outreach team of nurses, social workers and psychologists available to the general public to assist during times of crisis or distress.  The team works in close contact with the Distress Centre, city hospitals, Calgary Police Service and current supports including counselors, doctors and psychiatrists to provide services to individuals and families living in the Calgary Health Region.

Who We Serve
Individuals and families currently experiencing a crisis or in distress whom may require professional assistance.  Common issues include relationship problems, addictions, exposure to trauma and mental health concerns including but not limited to post partum depression, anxiety, psychosis, etc.
